We are always looking for volunteers in the following areas:
The House of Amos could not operate without the commitment and generosity of our volunteers. Every day, dedicated individuals share their time, talents, and energy to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
Emergency Food Pantry Assistance
Volunteers are needed during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday 8:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Saturday - 9:45 AM - 12:30 PM
Closed Friday and Sunday
Important: Due to the high volume of volunteer interest, please call
832-977-1208 during pantry operating hours to sign up.

Volunteer Guidelines:
- Volunteers as young as 10 years old are welcome with a parent or guardian.
- Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian’s signature on the volunteer application..
- Volunteers ages 13-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first volunteer session.
Dress Code:
Please dress comfortably and appropriately. For safety and respect of all participants, we ask that volunteers do not wear:
- Pajamas or beach attire
- Rubber flip flops or shower shoes
- Spaghetti straps
- Facial piercings (nose, eyebrows, lip, chin)
- Head coverings such as hats, shower caps, do-rags, or bandanas (unless for religious or medical reasons)
- Clothing that reveals excessive cleavage or bare midriffs
- Pants worn below the waist (no visible underwear)
